A dynamic online strategy to raise awareness of Beam and ABA therapy

The Brief

Beam ABA Services deliver Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy programmes for individuals with autism, ADHD and other complex behavioural needs. Through the use of ABA therapy, Beam helps to bring about meaningful and purposeful change in behaviour, growing an individual’s independence and enhancing their experience of the world.

Although being a proven and widely used intervention in countries such as the United States, ABA therapy is relatively unknown in the UK.

Beam approached Digirank with the aim to raise awareness and educate parents and carers on the science-based practice of ABA, and the services that Beam provides.

Our job was to get Beam in front of the people that would benefit most from their services – parents and carers of a child or young adult with complex behaviour needs, such as autism. It was an opportunity to make a significant impact to the lives of people.

The Strategy

As Beam’s digital marketing partner, we worked closely with their internal marketing resource, taking them through a dynamic online strategy. A combination of PPC, content marketing, SEO and social media was used to develop understanding of ABA amongst their target audience, build recognition in the ABA community in the UK and increase the number of service users.

Our content strategy was heavily focused around meeting the needs of Beam’s target audiences. We developed a sophisticated understanding of these audiences including what they were searching for and the questions they were asking online.

Along with a joined-up social media and PPC campaign, this has ensured that the website reaches its full potential.

The Outcomes

During this year, the campaign exceeded all target metrics:
